Mask Guidance Updates

• Effective February 9, 2022 – Masks are optional for Rockcastle County students and staff as recommended by the Rockcastle County Board of Education during the February 8, 2022 regular meeting.
• Effective February 28, 2022 – Based on updated CDC regulations, masks are optional for students and staff while riding the school bus.
• Effective  March 3, 2022 – Based on updated state regulations, masks are optional for students and staff of Rockcastle Area Technology Center.

Test to Stay will continue to be available each week day from 7:00-9:00 AM at Rockcastle Teaching & Learning Center (250 Richmond Street in Mt. Vernon across from the Central Office).

The Rockcastle County Board of Education could revisit the mask policy at any time, depending on COVID-19 data and guidance.
