Rockcastle Academy is available for students who may have difficulty adjusting and achieving in the regular school setting. Students enrolled in the Academy receive individualized instruction based on their personal needs and levels of achievement. Upon enrollment at the Academy students are assessed and placed at the appropriate academic level. Students then work at their own pace, with staff guidance, with the goal of attaining an academic proficiency equal to their peers of the same age. Students at the high school level who are behind in credits are supported with a technology-based program called Edgenuity. This program is used to assist with credit recovery and getting students on track for graduation. Counseling services are also provided on a daily basis at the Academy through Somerset Mental Health. The Academy provides a learning environment that empowers students to master academic content, complete high school graduation requirements and achieve personal success.
