Rockcastle County Middle School’s 6th–8th grade UNITE Club has been named the Region 3 Middle School UNITE Club of the Year for the 2024–2025 school year, recognizing the club’s outstanding commitment to leadership, service, and drug-free youth advocacy.

The award was presented by UNITE Coalition Coordinator Hannah Gadd. Pictured from left are Angie Payne, Hazelyn Jones, Brody McClure, and Hannah Gadd.

Operation UNITE recognized 12 UNITE Clubs across the region for their exceptional efforts during the 2024–25 school year. To qualify for the Club of the Year honor, each participating club submitted a detailed scrapbook highlighting monthly activities, service projects, and mentoring initiatives. Scrapbooks were judged across elementary, middle, and high school categories to determine regional winners.

As a regional winner, the RCMS UNITE Club is eligible to receive an additional $500 in funding to support club activities during the 2025–26 school year.

This recognition reflects the dedication of RCMS students and staff in promoting positive choices, leadership development, and a supportive school culture—true examples of Rocket Learners growing into Rocket Leaders.
