Rockcastle ATC HOSA members recently showcased their skills, leadership, and dedication to healthcare at the HOSA State Leadership Conference (SLC) held in Louisville. A total of 27 students represented the Rockcastle chapter, competing in a variety of events including written assessments, hands-on skill demonstrations, and healthcare-focused presentations.
In addition to competition, students expanded their knowledge and explored future opportunities by attending college and career symposiums, participating in community service projects, and touring the University of Louisville. Rockcastle ATC HOSA members also gave back in meaningful ways by hosting a healthcare-themed escape room and creating “sock lovies” for NICU babies, which were donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
Several students earned top honors during the conference. Freshman Harrison Craig captured first place in Health Career Photography, while freshman Kaleigh Carpenter earned third place in Research Persuasive Writing and Speaking. A team of juniors—Trinity Abney, Jordan Albright, Carleigh Philbeck, Chloe Wilson, and Arrahlyn Richards—secured fifth place in the Public Service Announcement category.
Rockcastle ATC is incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, compassion, and commitment to excellence as they represented their school and community at the state level.
