Brodhead Elementary School (BES) brought the excitement of the Kentucky Derby to campus with its annual 1st Grade Derby, creating a fun and engaging experience for students during the school day. With derby-themed flair and plenty of school spirit, the event captured the energy of one of Kentucky’s most celebrated traditions.
1st-grade students proudly showcased their custom creations and raced with enthusiasm as classmates and staff cheered them on. From the starting line to the finish, the event was filled with excitement, encouragement, and friendly competition.
This year’s overall winners were Serenity Shoemaker and Rhett Vanover, who raced their way to the top with standout performances.
