Rockcastle County Schools' Preschool Programs Earn Five Star Kentucky All STARS Rating

Rockcastle County Schools is proud to announce that each of our preschool programs has earned the highest possible recognition through the Kentucky All STARS quality rating system.

The Kentucky Department of Education has officially recognized the following preschool sites as Kentucky All STARS Level 5 programs:

  • Brodhead Elementary – Level 5

  • Mt. Vernon Elementary – Level 5

  • Roundstone Elementary – Level 5

Kentucky All STARS is the Commonwealth's quality rating and improvement system for early childhood education programs. A Level 5 designation represents the highest standard of quality, recognizing programs that demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, family engagement, leadership, and continuous improvement.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our preschool teachers, instructional assistants, administrators, and support staff who work each day to provide young learners with a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where they can thrive.

Earning the highest rating at all three elementary preschool sites demonstrates Rockcastle County Schools' commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education and ensuring every child begins their educational journey with a strong foundation for future success.

As Rockcastle County Schools continues preparing Rocket Learners to become Rocket Leaders, this accomplishment highlights the district's focus on excellence from the very first school experience.
