Rockcastle County leaders officially proclaimed Friday, October 23, 2026, as “Rock Your Red Day” to raise awareness about drug abuse prevention and promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles.

County Judge-Executive Howell Holbrook, Rockcastle County Schools Superintendent Dr. Carrie Ballinger, and UNITE Chairman Marcus Reppert signed the proclamation in support of drug abuse awareness throughout the community.

The proclamation kicks off next week's Red Ribbon Week celebrations. Each Rockcastle County school will participate in activities centered around this year's theme, “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.”
