Rockcastle County Schools is proud to celebrate Coach Chrysti Noble, longtime head coach of the Rockcastle County High School Lady Rockets, for being named to the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Coach Noble has dedicated 36 years to leading the Lady Rockets, building a legacy defined by excellence, consistency, and a deep commitment to her players. Throughout her career, she has become one of the most successful coaches in Kentucky girls’ basketball history, currently ranking seventh on the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s all-time wins list.

A milestone achievement in her career includes surpassing 600 career wins—making her just the seventh girls’ basketball coach in Kentucky to reach this mark and only the third female coach to do so.

Under Coach Noble’s leadership, the Lady Rockets reached the pinnacle of success in 2011, capturing the KHSAA Girls’ Basketball State Championship with an impressive 36-1 record. That historic season remains a defining moment for Rockcastle County and a testament to her leadership and the culture she has built within the program.

In recognition of her lasting impact, the playing floor at The Rock Arena in Mount Vernon was named Coach Chrysti Noble Court, honoring her dedication to the program and the countless student-athletes she has mentored throughout her career.

Beyond wins and championships, Coach Noble is known for the relationships she builds with her players and her unwavering passion for the game. She continues to lead with purpose, expressing her desire to remain on the sidelines and guide future generations of Lady Rockets.

“I just kind of pray about it to make sure it’s right to stay,” Noble shared. “I love it. And I like to keep my connections with my girls. I think that’s so important.”

Coach Noble’s induction into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of a career that has not only elevated Rockcastle County athletics but has also made a lasting impact on the lives of her players and the community.

She will be formally inducted during the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Lexington Opera House.
