
KHSAA Dead Period:
June 25 (12:01 AM) – July 9 (11:59 PM)
The KHSAA Dead Period is a mandatory two-week break each summer, established by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. It applies to all middle and high school sports and activities.
During the Dead Period:
• Coaches and student-athletes may not have any contact in any form.
• No practices, workouts, or team meetings—formal or informal—are allowed.
• School facilities, equipment, and uniforms may not be used for athletic purposes.
• Fundraisers, team camps, open gyms, and conditioning sessions are not permitted.
• No team travel or group athletic activities of any kind.

The next ACT opportunity will be in September.


We are excited to announce that RCHS is now an approved SAT Weekend Test Center! This is in addition to our ACT offerings.
Students now have access to more options as they plan for life after high school.

Rockcastle High School will offer Summer School from June 3–12, 2025. Students can earn up to 2 credits by attending the following sessions:
Session 1: June 3–6
Session 2: June 9–12
Transportation is NOT provided, but breakfast and lunch will be served. Attendance is required and all school rules apply. Final exams can be made up at any time during the summer school window.

RCHS underclass final exams begin Thursday, May 22. All students are required to complete a final exam in each class. If you are absent and miss a final, you must schedule a time during summer school to make-up the final exam. Good luck!



RCHS students and staff donated almost $400 today!! Money was collected during 4th period, and donations will continue through Friday.
All money will be donated to Laurel County Schools' YSCs.

Students will be notified tomorrow if they will receive an award at the ceremony.
Students will get a ticket for themselves + 1 friend.
Parents/guardians welcome — no ticket needed. Visitors can park in the back and have ID ready for quick check -in. Check-in will begin at 11:00am. 🚀


Let's support the students and families of Laurel County!
Starting Tuesday (tomorrow) during 4th period, we will be taking up donations for the Laurel County Youth Service Center. The 4th period class with the most $$ in donations will receive the tremendous feeling of accomplishment that comes from giving to others...and a special batch of Ms. Susan's Rock Star cookies.
All funds collected will be donated to Laurel County's Family and Youth Resource Centers.
