What an incredible way to celebrate learning! 🦋
Students wrapped up their butterfly life cycle unit by releasing butterflies they had carefully observed throughout their amazing transformation journey. Over the past 3–4 weeks, students watched each stage of the life cycle firsthand, from caterpillar to butterfly, making this hands-on experience both exciting and unforgettable. A special thank you to teachers Katherine Coffey, Sherry Hensley, and Shelby Wynn for creating such meaningful learning opportunities for our Rocket Learners! ❤️

These students continue to set the example by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and leadership in the digital world. Through positive online behavior, responsible technology use, and caring for their devices, they are showing what it truly means to be Rocket Leaders!
Each student was recognized with a $50 reward for their outstanding efforts and positive impact in and out of the classroom. 👏

Rockcastle County Schools is proud to continue supporting our Rocket Learners throughout the summer by providing weekly meal bundles for registered families.
Each weekly bundle includes:
🥣 5 breakfasts
🥪 5 lunches
🥛 Half gallon of milk per child
📍 Weekly pick-up will take place each Tuesday at Rockcastle County High School.
⚠️ A parent/guardian must be present with an ID. Students do not need to attend pick-up.

This evening marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for an incredible group of students who have shown dedication, perseverance, leadership, and Rocket pride throughout their journey. From classrooms and athletic fields to performances, clubs, and community service, the Class of 2026 has left a lasting impact on Rockcastle County Schools.
Over the years, these graduates have truly embodied our mission of growing Rocket Learners into Rocket Leaders. They have demonstrated resilience, leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. We are proud of the leaders they have become and excited for the impact they will make in the future.

Rockcastle County High School Appalachian Studies students took part in a hands-on learning experience as they explored Appalachian traditions with Ms. Starla Benge, creating Appalachian Corn Brooms and learning about the craftsmanship and cultural heritage behind this unique tradition. Experiences like these help bring history to life through meaningful, hands-on learning.
