RCHS GATE students attended the Visual & Performing Arts Symposium at the University of the Cumberlands. Hosted by the Lake Cumberland Region Gifted and Talented Cadre, this incredible event provided students with opportunities to explore their creativity, strengthen their leadership skills, and collaborate with talented peers from across the region.
Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of hands-on experiences, including musical theater, printmaking, comic art, leadership development, Frontier Lab exploration, and more.
A special highlight was meeting Miss Kentucky, who shared an inspiring message about overcoming obstacles, persevering through challenges, and believing in yourself. Her words encouraged students to pursue their goals with confidence and resilience.
From performing on stage to creating original artwork and engaging in innovative labs, our students embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Experiences like this not only nurture artistic talent but also build confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Rockcastle County Schools. 🚀
