Rockcastle County Schools will offer a virtual school option (MyRock Online) for students in grades 6-12 for the 2026-2027 school year. All applicants must complete this application, meet all qualifications for the program, attend an orientation session, and sign the contract to be accepted into the program. Applying for MyRock Online does not mean that your child will be accepted into the program. The application to apply must be received by August 7, 2026. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted after August 7, 2026, to discuss your application status.

Our program is designed to help young learners build a strong foundation through engaging, hands-on learning while supporting kindergarten readiness, social-emotional development, and family success.

Rockcastle County Schools is now accepting applications for Substitute Teachers and Substitute Instructional Assistants for the 2026–2027 school year.

For the 2026-2027 school year, Rockcastle County Schools will be requiring Online Registration for all students. Completing Online Registration through Infinite Campus will replace several paper forms that we typically send home and allow parents and guardians to complete the enrollment process for all of the students in their household at one time. During the meeting, Dr. Ballinger shared the innovative work taking place across Rockcastle County Schools and highlighted one of our district's proudest accomplishments—earning the #1 Postsecondary Readiness Rate in Kentucky. This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, educators, staff, families, and community partners and our shared commitment to preparing every student for success beyond graduation.

Rockcastle County Schools' Little Rocket Learners All-Day Preschool is open to all 4-year-olds! Our all-day program provides the time, support, and experiences young learners need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while preparing for kindergarten success.
Breakfast and lunch are provided daily, children build important kindergarten readiness skills, and families benefit from a consistent schedule that can help reduce childcare needs.
