Our first week back from spring break is a busy one with several events planned this week:

Thursday, April 10: Spring Drama production of 'Moana' and Success Lab after school
Friday, April 11: AP US History Mock Exam

The majority of ACT scores have been released to students. We are still missing a few for students who tested on paper, but those scores should be available by the time students return from break.
Any student who cannot access their score can see Mrs Norton-Casey when we return to school April 7.

On Thursday, March 27, RCHS JROTC held the annual Change of Command Ceremony. The title of Battalion Commander was passed from C/LTC Cerrina Henson to C/CPT Andrew Menemeyer.

Future Rockets in the House! 8th graders had a great time visiting RCHS today! They toured the building, learned about scheduling, pathways, and course offerings, and got a glimpse of what’s ahead. A huge shoutout to our amazing Link Crew leaders for being such fantastic guides and to our CTE teachers and students for showcasing each program. Scheduling sheets went home with students and we will complete the process with one-in-one scheduling on Thursday!

On Wednesday, March 5th, almost 900 aspiring educators from across Kentucky attended the 2025 Ed Rising Conference in Louisville. Throughout the day, students completed in 27 different events that touched on a numerous areas of teaching such as lesson planning and public speaking.
Twelve students represented RCHS with advisor Ms. Erin Grace. Winning awards in competition were the following students:
Danica Wallin & Kaiden Nunn: 2nd place, Varsity Children's Literature K-3
Makaylee McNally: 2nd place, Varsity Exploring Education Administration Careers
Madison Shuart: 2nd place, Junior Varsity Lesson Planning & Design, Arts

Highlights from RCHS Parent Night! Parents joined their children to learn about scheduling, and pathways and had a voice in their child’s academic journey. Huge thanks to our Parent Support Group for their help in making the night a success! 🚀

*Success Lab will start back up this week on Thursday after school until 4:45. Snack and Transportation will be provided. Check your grades and talk to your teachers to see if you can benefit from some extra help!
*Rock's Got Talent: Any student interested in auditioning needs to see Mrs. Burdette to sign up for an audition time. Auditions will be March 13 and 14.
*This Saturday we will have an ACT Crush Session from 9:00am - 11:30am to prep for the upcoming March 11 ACT. Sign-ups will be at lunch this week.
*Senior Trip to Kings Island to down payment of $30 due next week on Wednesday
*Launchpad Volunteers are in need of old t-shirts (can be stained, torn, etc) to make dog toys for the animal shelter. Please bring those to Mrs. Joanie in the library before next Tuesday.
*The tennis match for today has been cancelled and rescheduled for next Thursday!
*Colorguard/Winterguard Interest: anyone interested in joining thev2025 Season of Marching Band should speak to Ms. Tanaka in the Band Room (room 308).
*Educators Rising: members are invited to help with Tiger Town at Brodhead Elementary on Wednesday March 12. Stop by Mrs. Grace’s room for a permission slip.
*Honors Club Induction Ceremony will take place in the RCHS Auditorium on March 19th at 5:30 pm. ALL members are required to attend and wear dress clothes-no jeans! Please see Mrs. Stevens if you have questions.
