From Rocket Learners to Rocket Leaders, we’re proud to celebrate the power of public education in Rockcastle County!
Join the fun and show your Rocket Pride! 🚀
#LoveKYPublicSchools,

Today, our Rockcastle County Schools team proudly wore gold in honor of Raven — celebrating her strength, courage, and incredible victory.
From Rocket Learners to Rocket Leaders, we show up for one another — and today, we shine GOLD.

This habit directly connects to our Portrait of a Rocket by strengthening the skills of an Effective Communicator, Active Collaborator, Innovative Leader, and Responsible Citizen.
When our Rocket Learners listen with empathy and speak with respect, they build stronger relationships, value diverse perspectives, and help create a caring, connected school community.
Let’s lead with understanding and continue growing from Rocket Learners to Rocket Leaders!

Tomorrow, 2/18, we’re wearing gold or yellow for Raven!
Let’s shine bright and show our support across Rockcastle County Schools. ✨

Every lesson learned and every goal achieved moves us closer to becoming Rocket Leaders. 🚀

Today, our entire district showed up for Henry Bray, one of our MVES students, by wearing blue and raising awareness for Angelman Syndrome.

Congratulations to Mr. Peyton Pugh, Rockcastle Middle School science teacher, on being named the 2025 National Educator of the Year by the National Wild Turkey Federation! 🦃🌱
He was recognized last week at the NWTF Convention for this incredible honor. His passion for conservation education and hands-on learning continues to inspire our students to become thoughtful stewards of the environment.

Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.
This month, our Rocket Learners are focusing on listening with empathy, showing respect, and building stronger relationships. When we take time to truly understand others, we grow as leaders—both in school and beyond. ❤️

After a long and courageous fight against Stage 4 cancer, Raven has officially finished her treatments and rang her bell — and she is a true HERO! 🔔✨
