Rocket Learners at Rockcastle County High School are connecting beyond Kentucky! 🚀
Through the Smithsonian Exchange Program, students in our Appalachian Studies class are collaborating with a New Jersey high school art class to share culture, history, and perspectives.

🚀 April Rocket Habit of the Month: Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw
This month, we’re reminding our Rocket Learners that taking care of themselves is just as important as working hard. When we recharge, reflect, and find balance, we’re better prepared to learn, lead, and grow.

The Rockcastle County Preschool Program is excited to announce that registration for the 2026–2027 school year is coming soon! 🎒

Rockcastle County Schools offer half-day preschool sessions Monday through Thursday at each elementary school. Kentucky’s preschool programs are available for:
• All four-year-old children whose family income is no more than 160% of the poverty level
• All three and four-year-old children with developmental delays or disabilities, regardless of income
Children must be 4 years old by August 1, 2026, to enroll as a four-year-old preschool student.

If you are interested, please contact your child’s school to schedule an appointment.

📍 Mount Vernon Elementary – May 14 & May 18 | 9 AM to 2 PM
📍 Brodhead Elementary – May 15 & May 20 | 9 AM to 2 PM

From the artistry of traditional crafts to vital local conservation efforts, this event is a celebration of Kentucky’s rich history and bright future. Come support our students as they highlight their Kentucky Heritage Projects! It’s going to be an evening of storytelling, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
