Our 5th Grade GATE students had an unforgettable experience at Environmental Camp at JM Feltner 4-H Camp! 🌿🦉 From dissecting owl pellets and studying native wildlife to hiking Kentucky trails, exploring bat activity with Echo Meters, and learning from the Kentucky Reptile Zoo—these Rocket Learners dove headfirst into hands-on discovery. The adventure even continued after dark with a nighttime hike listening for local owl populations! 🌙 They wrapped up their trip with a lake study and fishing alongside Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, making it two days full of exploration, learning, and connection to Kentucky’s natural world. Experiences like this spark curiosity, build real-world understanding, and help grow our students into future Rocket Leaders! 🚀
